Nice cabinet easy to assemble and matches my Crosley

This is a great little cabinet for the money. The workmanship is very good for the price and it can hold items below dust free.

Great Purchase

PROS: I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. Assembly is simple and the finished product is very sturdy. I own the matching Crosley CR72 record player and set it on top of this cabinet without any worries. I've read reviews that claim this product is flimsy but that isn't right at all. As long as it's properly put together it can hold just about anything. I also went with the free shipping and much to my surprise it was at my door not only in less than a week but also on a Saturday!

CON: I was instantly disappointed when I saw the box they chose to ship it in busting open under the weight. Even the delivery guy couldn't stop commenting on what a bad shipment job it was. Actually his exact words were "the worst box I've seen". Oddly enough when I opened it there was another box inside and it was completely untouched. Why they chose to place the sturdy box in a gawky paper thin one I'll never know. Had I not lucked out and got an extra cautious delivery guy it definitely would have been ruined.

Amazing piece for the price

Reviewed by Heidi Thompson, 2009-09-19

I purchased this piece as a stand for my new Teac LP-R400. (Another amazing item.) I was looking for the smallest piece that could hold the Teac and some records, plus a place to put vinyl record cleaners, etc.

Quality: The finish is even and the materials are sturdy enough for all that I want. This is not a flimsy item.

Assembly: I was concerned with a review on one of the other Crosley cabinets that it was very difficult to assemble and definitely required two people. I don't know how they were assembling it, but if one follows the directions one person can easily put it together in under 1/2 hour. It DID take me a while to figure out that the nut locks were already IN the pieces as I was looking for them in a bag.

Finished look: This is sitting next to my old fashioned stereo cabinet that I can't bear to replace and also my baby grand piano. Both of those items are beautifully finished and this piece fits in just fine (although somewhat hidden behind a floor stereo speaker.)

Cons: As described, the item comes with a shelf above the record storage. The knob makes it appear like a pull out drawer, but it is a pull down door with a shelf behind. I was expecting a drawer, but that was my fault for not reading the description well enough. Unlike the other pieces that have just the open shelf, at least this one has a door and it will be fine for storing the LP vinyl record cleaning supplies and extra phonograph needles that I purchased.

Bottom Line: Love it.
